History

The North Carolina World Trade Association (NCWTA) was established in 1964 as a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation. Our membership is comprised of a diverse mix of global business professionals representing multiple industry sectors who value cultural awareness and economic prosperity internationally. The organization promotes the growth of international commerce between North Carolina and the world by fostering relationships between individuals, companies, and organizations that seek trade expansion for the state.

NCWTA is composed of a state board and regional chapters. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in world trade and commerce. Members include manufacturers, exporters, importers, and service providers as well as academic and governmental leaders. Chapters hold regular networking events and support a variety of informational and educational activities throughout the year.
